فاعل کی مزید شکلیں:

جب فاعل مصدر ہو توجملے کی ساخت  کچھ یوں  ہوتی ہے:

Infinitive to + verb + adjective/ noun.

Gerund + verb + adjective + noun.

·               ان فنی ٹیو (infinitive) مصدر کوکہتے ہیں۔(فعل کی وہ بنیادی شکل جس سے فاعل اور زمانہ وغیرہ ظاہر نہ ہو، جیسے:

We came to see him. Let him see.

ان جملوں میں سی (see) ان فنی ٹیو (infinitive) ہے۔

·               جیرنڈ (gerund) مصدر کی ایک شکل ہے جس کے آخر میں آئی این جی (ing) ہو اور بطور اسم استعمال کی جاتی ہے۔ جیسے:

Playing is useful.

اس جملے میں پلے انگ (playing) جیرنڈ (gerund)ہے۔

 اب جملے دیکھتے ہیں:

جھوٹ بولنا گناہ ہے۔

To tell lies is a sin.

Telling lies is a sin.

صبح سویرے اٹھنا مفیدہے۔

To wake up early is useful.

Waking up early is useful.

سڑک پر دوڑنا ٹھیک نہیں ہے۔

To run on the road is not good.

Running on the road is not good.

گاڑی چلانا آسان ہے۔

To drive a car is easy.

Driving a car is easy.

سفر کرنا مشکل ہے۔

To travel is difficult.

Travelling is difficult.

ان جملوں کو ہم اس طرح بھی تشکیل دے سکتے ہیں:

It + is/was + adjective/noun + infinitive.

جھوٹ بولنا گناہ ہے۔

It is a sin to tell lies.

صبح سویرے اٹھنا مفیدہے۔

It is useful to wake up early.

سڑک پر دوڑنا ٹھیک نہیں تھا۔

It was not good to run on the road.

گاڑی چلانا آسان ہے۔

It is easy to drive a car.

سفر کرنا مشکل تھا۔

It was difficult to travel.
